Conveyor systems are widely used to transport materials through manufacturing plants, warehouses, mines, recycling facilities, and processing operations. Although conventional belt and roller conveyors provide continuous transportation, vibration can be valuable at specific transfer points where material needs to be distributed, separated, or redirected. ATO vibration motors can drive vibrating transfer trays, chutes, and auxiliary conveyors that move material between different stages. This can help create a controlled transition between equipment while reducing sudden material accumulation. For example, a vibrating chute can receive material from a hopper and distribute it evenly onto a belt conveyor. In recycling operations, vibration can spread mixed materials across a processing surface, giving sorting equipment more consistent access to individual items. In aggregate processing, vibration can help regulate the flow of stones and granular material between crushers, screens, and conveyors. ATO single phase or three phase AC vibration motors are well suited to fixed conveyor systems in industrial facilities, while 10W to 160W DC models can be considered for mobile machinery or specialized systems. Motor selection should account for material weight, tray length, conveying angle, desired throughput, and machine structure. By adding controlled vibration at critical transfer points, equipment manufacturers can improve material distribution without redesigning the entire conveying system, making ATO vibration motors useful auxiliary drives for many automated transportation processes.
